Get Started Playing Guitar The Right Way!
- Are you new to guitar and want to learn fast?
- Do you want to avoid the long and painful process of being “self-taught”?
- Do you want to enjoy a lifetime of fulfillment from learning to play guitar?
You CAN! And you DO have what it takes to be as good as you want to be on guitar! BUT…
Don’t Make The Huge Mistake That I Made….
I want to tell you a little story. When I was first learning how to play guitar, I learned the basics from my Dad and my Brother. Other than that, I picked up what I could from here, there, and everywhere. For years, I was always under the impression that to be good at guitar, you had to be a “genius” or be born with “special talent”. But looking back on it now, I realize that I thought that way because I made such slow progress trying to figure out how to play guitar on my own.
I didn’t take guitar lessons until many years into my guitar playing life, and I greatly wish that I had because I would have saved YEARS of time, money, and frustration.
It was not until I finally started learning from a great guitar teacher that I realized just how slow my progress was on my own. With a guitar teacher, I learned more about guitar and music in 2 months than I did in years before that! I finally saw that playing music WAS possible, and that it wasn’t reserved for some elect group of talented people.
No One Is Really “Self-Taught”
You may have heard stories that some of the great guitar players never had any guitar lessons and were completely self taught. That sounds nice, but unfortunately isn’t really the whole truth.
You see, everyone who has ever been great at guitar has had “lessons” in some form or another whether they were “traditional guitar lessons” or not. This means that some players learned from other great guitar players while on tour, backstage, or simply by playing for hours and hours with other people. They will all tell you that. Without the luxury of learning from other great guitar players backstage or on a tour bus, it just so happens that guitar lessons from a local school or store are the easiest and most effective kind of lessons to take for you or me.
It is well known that the overwhelming majority of beginner guitar players quit within their first year. This is very unfortunate. I believe this is because of frustration, confusion, and lack of guidance. This doesn’t have to happen to you!
If you are serious about learning to play the guitar, I strongly recommend taking beginners guitar lessons to make your guitar playing journey so much easier, simpler, and so much more enjoyable.
